The Bookkeeper is responsible for processing accounts payable and treasury functions for multiple companies, prepares/reviews portfolio company accounts receivable invoices, process and prepares semi-monthly payroll, and prepares/reviews weekly cash reconciliation reports.  Responsibilities consist primarily of recording daily accounting activities across multiple management companies.   This position will work closely with the Management Company Team on necessary workflow to ensure completion per deadlines.  This position will require regular interaction with clients and team members.


  • Prepares weekly cash reconciliations to provide the client with a summary of cash deposits and disbursements
  • Prepares monthly bank reconciliations for multiple management companies
  • Enter cash and other necessary journal entries to provide an accurate ledger
  • Process payroll for multiple clients’ semimonthly
  • Review accounts payable invoices to process payments timely and accurately
  • Review scheduled and non-scheduled wire requests using several online banking systems
  • Complete Form 1099 for the company’s vendors for year-end reporting purposes
  • Coordinates and completes special projects as directed by management
  • Continually updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; internal company and team trainings; maintains personal networks; participates in professional development opportunities
  • Prepares monthly/quarterly workbooks and financial statements
  • Reviews monthly general ledger

  • 5-7 years’ (relevant) experience in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum of a Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with knowledge of QuickBooks
  • Ability to multitask, time management, attention to detail, planning and problem solving
  • Ability to communicate and interact professionally and effectively through written and oral communication with current and potential clients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities and deadlines
